Construction Architecture Engineering
The project objective was to develop detailed engineering specifications and designs for the construction of 2 aluminum naval catamarans. This included addressing structural, piping, and finishing components such as carpentry, electrical, and mechanical systems.
The project I led involved the detailed engineering for the construction of 2 aluminum naval catamarans. We were tasked with creating specifications and detailed designs for production, covering various aspects such as structural components, piping systems, and finishing details like carpentry, electrical work, and mechanical systems.
To tackle this project, we embraced an agile methodology. As the team leader, I guided our engineers through a series of sprints, each focusing on a specific aspect of the design process. These sprints included detailing the structural elements of the hull, the superstructure, piping layouts, electrical systems, carpentry work, and auxiliary systems.
Each sprint lasted for 3 weeks, allowing us to concentrate our efforts and iterate on improvements. Throughout the project, we actively sought feedback from the client, who was the owner of the shipyard.
Their input was invaluable in ensuring that our designs aligned with their requirements and preferences. Ultimately, we successfully delivered the detailed engineering specifications and designs ahead of schedule. This early completion allowed for a seamless transition into the construction phase, demonstrating the effectiveness of our agile approach and the leadership of our engineering team.

The shipyard owner's expertise was extensive (40 years as a naval engineer and over 60 ships built), so every time we had a sprint review with him, he would correct some details, which added significant value and knowledge to the project.
